Wind Studies in complex terrain is a very complicated calculation. CFD models require input that is not available and a wide portion of the calculation is subject to empirical models. Dr. Hector Mattio from CREE, Chubut, Argentina is reading values from his logger installed just south of Comodoro Rivadavia. From 1991 through 1995 and again in 2000 our staff has conducted numerous measurements and resource calculations throughout Argentina. |

Based on just 3 months of data, our staff was able to establish a saturated cross correlation between 20 m and 60 m measurements is the wash just north of Palm Springs, California. The calculation was used for the first repowering project in USA, where 30 kW wind turbines was replaced with 750 kW Micon turbines. |
